The smart socket makes timers easier than ever. You can easily save any number of time switch points via your mobile phone and set the operation of the devices to your personal requirements. For example, you can dynamically adjust your outdoor lighting to the position of the sun and switch it on at sunset or switch it off half an hour after sunrise. You could also programme your Christmas fairy lights for specific times: if you wish, they can always start to light up at 6.30 pm when you get home from work and switch off at 8 am when you leave the house. Over the holidays, you can then set the Christmas lights so that they shine continuously.
Smart power saving with automatic switch-off
The WLAN socket also makes it easy to reduce energy consumption: you simply use the free Hama Smart Home app to select a specific time at which the power supply for your garden devices should be switched off. This means you always have full control over your devices and never forget any of them - outdoor lighting, garden decorations etc. only receive power when you actually need it. This saves time and money. Nevertheless, spontaneous control via app, voice or local button is always possible if you want to use the device spontaneously or switch it off.
Matter standard: smart for all Smart Home devices
Are you a committed Apple fan and use Apple Home? Is Samsung Smart Things your go-to? Is Amazon Alexa your favourite standard? Great news: you can now also use our WLAN socket regardless of your preferred manufacturer. With Matter Smart Home, it doesn't matter which Smart Home system you use - you can set up your smart devices in any app and you don't need any special additional apps. On the smart socket you will find a QR code: you simply need to scan this and the WLAN socket will connect directly to the Matter Smart Home.
Smartphones running iOS operating systems 16.1 and later or Android version 13 or later have this function integrated automatically. Devices and suppliers that have previously worked with a gateway will continue to require this, such as Apple HomePod, Google Nest Hub. The Smart Home devices from Hama of course work gateway-free, as before, so without an additional hub.

It is just as easy to set a time control via the app too - i.e. when exactly the lighting should switch on and off.
Control the smart socket via voice
To prevent your lawn from drying out in summer, you have set the Wi-Fi socket to ensure your sprinkler waters the lawn every morning via the timer. If you want to walk through the garden during this time - for a quick chat with the neighbours at the garden fence, for example - you can easily switch off the socket and thus the lawn sprinkler by voice command. This means you won't get wet and you can reactivate the sprinkler just as easily as soon as you have left the area.
